In 1951, Willi Wuthrich buy his first truck, a Volvo F86, probably the first Volvo in Switzerland. He begin in transporting cattles foods for the farmer leaving around Bern. He quickly realise that trucking was an excellent way for discovering new countries. When in 1962 Willi decide to transports cargo down to Central Asia no inssurance company where accepting to cover the risk. Finally, Willi, found in Germany the company Oskar Schunk who agree to inssure cargo and trucks. In 1965 Wuthrich Europatrans was already doing regular run to Pakistan. At this periode only Asian Transport and Evensen from Norway where on the run. |

En 1961, Willi Wuthrich, achète son premier camion, un Volvo F86,
probablement un des premier Volvo de Suisse. Il transporte du fourrage
pour les paysans de la région de Bern. Willi réalise que les transports
sont un moyen idéal pour découvrir de nouveaux horizons. En 1962 il
souhaite livrer de la marchandise en Asie Centrale mais aucune compagnie
d'assurance ne veut couvrir le risque. Finalement Willi trouve la société
Oskar Schunk en Allemagne qui assure la cargaison et le véhicule.
En 1965 Wuthrich Europatrans effectue déjà un service régulier sur le Pakistan, à cette époque seul Asian Transport (Astran) et Evensen depuis la Norvège sont présent sur "La Ligne". |
