During the month of june, the vintage convoy as left the festival of Gaydon for a journey to Spain.

17 trucks covered more than 3500 miles across south UK, France and Spain. A real success and pure joy for the 50 personnes of the convoy.

The route was planned as follow:

WEEKEND AT GAYDON FESTIVAL (JUNE)

SUN – DEPART TO PORTSMOUTH SHIP TO CAEN
MON – ON ROUTE FRANCE STOP LAROCHELLE
TUE – ON ROUTE FRANCE STOP CASTET’S
WED – ARRIVE IN SPAIN STOP BURGOS
THUR – STOP MADRID
FRI – ON ROUTE VALENCIA REGION

WEEKEND – VALENCIA / BENIDORM

MON – ON ROUTE STOP BARCELONA
TUE – BARCELONA
WED – ON ROUTE STOP ZARAGOZA
THURS / FRI – SHIP VIA BILBAO / SANTANDER TO UK

During the journey a visit was organised at the Pegaso-Scania factory and at the arrival a very funny party as been enjoyed by all the participants, of course to fit well with the vintage truck the subject of the party was the 70's of course !!! (see pictures)...

According to Michael Lacey, this edition was a real success which permit to rise more than 10'000£ for the cancer.

As the popularity of this run go increasing, the 2007 edition is arleady on the agenda and will take the vintage truck up North across Belgium, Germany ending at the Scania Factory in Sweden.
